Expecting temps to trend downward over the next several hours and an upper level low will develop and reinforce the precip. If we go back to all snow, we could see some impressive accumulations by morning. As you posted, temps are falling and we expect a change-over to all snow soon.
Was that temporary change-over expected? Or will that affect our overall accumulation and we won't quite hit the 7-9 or 9-11 mark anymore? This change over has gotten me a little worried...hahaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6138587156452077022.post-67116506002361854192010-01-29T22:35:07.697-06:002010-01-29T22:35:07.697-06:00I've been listening to the scanner Paul and sl...I've been listening to the scanner Paul and slick roads all over the city! Not a nice combination. Had to drive my wife to work in Algood, the worst roads were 12th Street by Tech and on Washington Avenue. Downtown Cookeville intersections also very slippery due to accumulated slush from all the traffic. NO sign of any salt, spray trucks or plows this evening. Guess they'll be back at it in the AM.tncorginoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6138587156452077022.post-18722932224545033692010-01-29T15:56:53.761-06:002010-01-29T15:56:53.761-06:00Anon 1: Yes, the NWS will maintain a good list of ...Anon 1: Yes, the NWS will maintain a good list of totals @ weather.gov/nashville and check on nashvillewx.com for more info, too.

Anon 2: Thanks for the kind words, I do enjoy this.Michael Detwilerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15334401002178168296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6138587156452077022.post-13729709714913578542010-01-29T15:49:04.002-06:002010-01-29T15:49:04.002-06:00Hey man really enjoyed you blog, you are awesome!Hey man really enjoyed you blog, you are awesome!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6138587156452077022.post-91949836380153859182010-01-29T11:50:15.073-06:002010-01-29T11:50:15.073-06:00Michael, do you have a website where we could view...Michael, do you have a website where we could view reports of snow totals around the mid-state?
Thanks for all of the great work!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6138587156452077022.post-43110814509324194652010-01-29T10:47:50.033-06:002010-01-29T10:47:50.033-06:00Bill...the installation was a BREEZE!! Are the power lines pretty robust around here? I'm seeing these reports out of Oklahoma, etc. saying that 1/4" of ice on wires can cause problems. Hopefully our precip will not include much freezing rain or ice.tncorginoreply@blogger.com
