Sometimes You Miss It

I chose this title to my blog post today because if you look at yesterday's post, I said the precipitation would likely move out before the cold air got here. Typically, in Tennessee, that is the case. Well, this morning, I awoke to not only snow on the ground, but also to a whole host of school closings. At least the kids will be happy about that!

In very plain and simple terms, I missed it yesterday! And that's ok!

Today will be COLD...highs struggling to reach 30° here on the Cumberland Plateau.

You can see the local forecast for us by clicking on the links to the right of this post. There are other links that will lead you to some interesting talk about today's weather.

Have a wonderful day!

Don't feel too bad, the "professional" forecasters here in the Tampa Bay area predicted that by this morning we would be slammed with 2 to 3 inches of rain. Didn't happen. Last night, a tornado hit Cocoa Beach, 150 miles from us, and a couple of troublesome cells scooted across the state overnight, but the promised deluge failed to appear. Such is the weather business!

You said we had no chance, and it is still coming down at 1:30. I suggest you do it again so we may prove/disprove the theory that snow only comes when you least expect it.

It's snowing in Montana today. What kind of accumulations are you seeing in Cookeville? We are moving down in the next few weeks. I love the snow, so I am curious how much has stuck.

Barely anything, well below a half-inch, but hey, biggest snowfall in a couple of years!

If you "love the snow".... Cookeville may be a tad disappointing.
