34 Years Ago Today...

.....was one of the deadliest days in US history as 148 tornadoes struck on April 3 & 4, 1974. Xenia, Ohio was just one of several towns that took a direct hit. Homer Ramby has a wonderful website dedicated to the Xenia tornado....

Here in Cookeville, TN...several tornadoes struck south and east of our city killing ten people in the Poplar Grove community.
