Thunderstorms Overnight...

My family was awoken to rumbling of thunder around 3 o'clock this morning. It became more numerous with frequent lightning strikes. I made the decision to get our 7 month-old out of her crib. It was a good decision as the lightning was striking close around us with loud booms of thunder.

We ended up with .54" with this storm and an additional .15" with yesterday afternoon's storm. I'll be interested to see what the other CoCoRaHS stations in my area record.

*Latest, Local Forecast*

*Hazardous Weather Outlook*

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is set to expire at 9 a.m.

We will, however, be under the gun for more thunderstorm development throughout the daytime on Sunday. Some storms could reach severe levels.
