Received the latest Tennessee Crop Summary from the USDA today and crop conditions this year are in great shape. Last year, at this time, we were well into a substantial drought. Taking a look at the Crop Condition, it is fair to say we are in good shape for 2008.

CROP CONDITION % in Good or Excellent

  • Corn 81%
  • Cotton 82%
  • Hay 54%
  • Range and Pasture 53%
  • Soybeans 78%
  • Tobacco 69%
We expect, with near normal rainfall, to have a good year.
