Update on Hurricane Ike

Hurricane Ike continues to grow in size and strength in the Gulf tonight.  Almost 2/3 of the Gulf of Mexico is covered by this massive storm.  Indications are that tropical storm winds could reach 250 miles from the center of the eye.

We received .75" of rain late this afternoon!  Glad to get it as September has been quite dry.  Just .04 for the month and that fell on Tuesday.  Maybe the rest of this month will be wetter than normal.  Good chances in the 5-day forecast for rain with the possibilities of seeing remnants of Hurricane Ike.
