NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...
...UP TO A DUSTING EXPECTED ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE MID STATE...

AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND A SURFACE COLD FRONT MOVE
ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE TONIGHT...AND WITH TEMPERATURES ACROSS
THE MID STATE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW FREEZING MARK THE ENTIRE
NIGHT...FLURRIES WILL BE LIKELY ACROSS THE ENTIRE MID STATE...
WITH THE CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS ALSO.

ACROSS THE NORTHERN CUMBERLAND PLATEAU REGION...MAINLY ALONG AND
EAST OF A BYRDSTOWN...TO BAXTER...TO ROCK ISLAND STATE PARK LINE
...AND NORTH OF A ROCK ISLAND STATE PARK TO WESTEL LINE...AREAS
COULD SEE AROUND ONE HALF OF AN INCH OF SNOWFALL BEFORE THE
SNOWFALL ENDS LATE TONIGHT. EXERCISE CAUTION ON ROADWAYS ACROSS
THIS AREA TONIGHT AND ALSO WHEN VENTURING OUTSIDE...AS TEMPERATURES
TODAY ACROSS THIS REGION JUST GOT ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK IN A
FEW LOCATIONS THIS AFTERNOON...THUS NOT ALL THE SNOW AND ICE...
ESPECIALLY BLACK ICE...WHICH IS A THIN COATING OF ICE THAT CAN
BE NEARLY INVISIBLE BUT VERY TREACHEROUS...HAS NOT YET MELTED
IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS.

ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE MID STATE...UP TO A DUSTING OF SNOWFALL
IS POSSIBLE AS THIS UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND COLD FRONT MOVE
ACROSS THE MID STATE TONIGHT.
