...THE FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 AM CDT FOR EASTERN
WILSON...EASTERN SUMNER...MACON...CLAY...PICKETT...FENTRESS...
OVERTON...JACKSON...TROUSDALE...SMITH...PUTNAM...NORTHERN DEKALB AND
NORTH CENTRAL CANNON COUNTIES...

AT 828 AM CDT DANGEROUS FLOODING CONTINUES IN THE WARNED AREA.
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS GREATER THAN 7 INCHES HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. THIS HAS LEAD TO
DANGEROUS FLOODING ACROSS THE NORTHEAST PORTIONS OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE. MANY ROADS ARE FLOODED AND HAVE BECOME IMPASSABLE...AND
REPORTS OF WATER RESCUES ARE BEING RECEIVED. THIS DANGEROUS
SITUATION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS LIFE THREATENING FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. WHEN
ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...
