Tennessee Tech Is Storm Ready

According to the Nashville office of the National Weather Service, TTU (Tennessee Tech University) is storm ready. To put this in perspective, TTU is just the 4th in our state and 60th university in the United States to earn this distinction.

Kent Clawson, TTU's coordinator of environmental and health and safety, says "this recognition is the result of resources and equipment that allow for timely notification of dangerous weather conditions."

Tennessee Tech recently hosted a storm spotter training class for the community that was parts of the efforts to qualify as a StormReady university.

Congratulations to Tennessee Tech University President Bob Bell and the staff in achieving StormReady status. (Link to: TTU Storm Ready)
