CERT Training Offered in April

On the heels of Wednesday's and Friday's tornado events in the Upper Cumberland and the giant task of cleanup, I wanted to get the word out about training that will help out during such an event.

It is called the Community Emergency Response Team or CERT for short. The training is led the the Putnam County Emergency Management Agency and the Local Emergency Planning committee. The training program was designed by the Department of Homeland Security.

Training is free and you can sign-up by calling Sharon Womack at the PCEMA office at 931-528-7575.
