We're watching the possibility of thunderstorms later tonight.
Counties just to our north in the commonwealth of Kentucky are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Here in the Cookeville area, our forecast is for a 70% chance for thunderstorms after 10 pm with the most likely chance in the early morning hours of Thursday. Some thunderstorms do have the possibility of reaching the strong to severe limits but at this point, chances aren't very high of this happening.
For Thursday through next week, we'll have a chance of thunderstorms each day with the best chances (other than tonight) coming on Friday. Temperatures will moderate a bit back down into the lower 80's this weekend and the start of next week.
