Very Cold Week Ahead

We are looking at a very cold week ahead here in Middle Tennessee. At least one chance for winter precipitation.

Middle Tennessee Weather Facts of the Day

On January 20, 1918...McMinnville measures 10" of snowfall, which is the most ever received in one day there.

On January 20, 1985...Nashville sets an all-time record low mean temperature of -5. Following a daytime high of 7 degrees, the temperature falls to -16 by midnight. Temperature at Crossville falls to -21 by midnight, establishing an all-time record low.

Yeah, I've heard stories about the famous winter of 84-85. Heard the Caney Fork froze completely over, first time anybody remembered it doing so, and stayed that way for weeks.

That might be nice.

Center Hill and Dale Hollow Lakes had sections where the water was frozen...I remember Livingston Boat Dock had pictures where most of their dock area was frozen from a very hard winter...but I believe that was in the late 70's....
