RAINFALL FROM WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT MAY LEAD TO FLOODING LATE THIS WEEK AND OVER THE WEEKEND...


A DEVELOPING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH THE MID-SOUTH REGION WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...BRINGING WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL TO MIDDLE TENNESSEE BEGINNING WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING THROUGH FRIDAY.


DUE TO THE ALREADY SATURATED SOIL CONDITIONS IN PLACE...RUNOFF FROM THIS RAIN MAY LEAD TO RISES IN AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS WITH FLOODING POSSIBLE ON FRIDAY...AND OVER THE WEEKEND.


EXACT RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME...BUT IT IS POSSIBLE MOST AREAS COULD SEE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF AN INCH OR TWO ON THURSDAY AND AGAIN ON FRIDAY...WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS UP TO 4 INCHES...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE NORTH...BY LATE FRIDAY NIGHT.


THIS OUTLOOK IS MEANT TO HIGHLIGHT THE POSSIBILITY OF FLOODING BEYOND 48 HOURS AS THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH EXACTLY HOW MUCH AND WHERE THE RAIN WILL FALL.


NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO REVIEWANY ACTION PLANS SHOULD A FLOOD WATCH OR FLOOD WARNING BE ISSUED.
