Dry Today...

Humidity levels along with dewpoints will be lower today across Tennessee. At 6 am, several reporting stations were in the middle 50's.

Our latest, local forecast calls for highs in the middle 80's and dry today...rain chances increase as we head toward the weekend.

Both Nashville and Knoxville are under a Code Orange Alert for unhealthy Air Quality today. Risk groups such as the children and elderly along with those who have asthma should limit their time and activity outdoors today.

Interesting tornado information for 2008...we usually get around 12 tornadoes annually. So far in 2008, we had 17 in February, 0 in March, 8 in April, and 6 in May for a total of 31.

On this date in 1988, Crossville (just 30 miles to my east) hits 99°, which sets a new record for the month of June.
