Made It...

...through the workday today...without too many problems...visited my dentist this morning and he helped me with a couple of problems related to my gums being very, very sore. The stitches are healing nicely...will just have to deal with eating a mostly liquid-type diet for a few more days. What I'd give for a nice ribeye steak cooked about medium rare with a loaded baked potato and a great salad!!! :)

Weather wise, we might just get a break from this heat and humidity come Wednesday and Thursday as our chances of showers and storms increase to 50% with a front nearing our region. Temperatures will drop into the mid and upper 80's...which will be quite nice compared to the low 90's of the last 3 days!

From the Weather Blogosphere, check out this video from Ryan Vaughan's Weather Blog over in Arkansas. He interned over at News 2 in Nashville (the NashvilleWX.com gang!)

That's all for tonight...make it a great evening...

That's always the worst, not being able to eat your favorites. Hang in there!

Speaking of food, I ran across the website for the Lighthouse Restaurant at the Cookeville Boat Dock - looks like a place I'd like to try when I'm in town. Ever been there?

Poor Mike, drinks lots of Gatorade! I'm glad I shared Ryan's blog with everyone. He is a fine person and quite a character around the city of Jonesboro. Whenever I visit family over there I make sure to catch him on the evening news. Jonesboro is a small to medium sized city (about 60,000). They have a relatively new mall, lots of banks, and a fun downtown atmosphere. Memphis is only about a 1 or 1.5 hours drive Southeast.
