Rain Chances Increase

We'll see more widespread coverage of rainfall this afternoon as a front nears our area.

The National Weather Service's Nashville office has issued an interesting Hazardous Weather Outlook this morning. For today and tonight,

ISOLATED STRONG TO POSSIBLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
DEVELOP TODAY AND THIS EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE STRONG
GUSTY TO POSSIBLY EVEN DAMAGING WINDS. SMALL HAIL MAY ALSO OCCUR.

Latest, Local Forecast

Keep up with Hurricane Bertha at the Nat'l Hurricane Center site.

Wunderground has an excellent tropical site, too!

Heavy rain just before lunch today...almost an inch in less than 45 minutes!

Charles, the Wunderground radar is excellent...the zoom in feature along with storm tracks is GREAT!

Hey Mike. Do you see us here in Westmoreland, too see anything form later on this afternoon? We're getting sunshine, but the radar isn't showing much in the way of anything.

Charles...I think our entire area has some chance for a strong storm or two forming!
