Nice rainy webcam shot this morning! :)

It has been an incredible journey since starting this weather blog in January of 2007.  This morning's post is #800 of that journey.  All 800 are available under the 'blog archive' tab about 3/4ths of the way down the page!

Today's weather will remain influenced by the remnants of Fay.  We received another 1.03" during the past 24 hours giving us a storm total of 2.27".  Saw several reports out of North Carolina near the Charlotte area of 8"-9" rainfall amounts in just 24 hours.  Fay has been a record producer of tornadoes during her stint through the southern United States.  As of last night, 41 tornadoes has been reported.

*Our latest, local forecast*

Remember, we now have Gustav to deal with...and this could be a big hurricane by the end of the Labor Day holiday.....check out this post at AlabamaWX.com and stay tuned!
