Storm Damage Photos (Cookeville)

Testing NEW way to show pictures on my blog.

These photographs were taken in and around Cookeville from the storm that struck last evening. There is much more damage than just these pictures.

Thanks Eddie....always trying to improve and 're-invent' what we are attempting to do here. Thanks for noticing.

Great pictures. I liked the one where the giant tree was split in half, but the campaign yard sign sat unmolested.

Kind of weird, isn't it Daniel?

Great pictures and use of them Mike. Does your weather station record wind gust? If so, then what was the highest wind gust you recorded?

Charles...it does, but because it only updates every minute or so, I missed the middle of the storm...my system recorded at 17.9 MPH gust...whereas in our downtown the EMA folks recorded a 37 mph gust. I believe winds were even higher due to the great number of damaged trees.

Mike - Great shots and a very nice and clean way to portray them using Picasa. I'll have to keep this in mind for my blog when I want to show multiple pics. Enjoy the beautiful weekend! It's 61 here on the outskirts of MEM this morning!
