Strong Storms



We have quite a lightning show entering our city. Bigtime storm coming in as well! Strong winds...frequent lightning..and possible damaging hail. Lights are flickering as I type....trying to capture lightning strikes on the webcam.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON COUNTY IN TENNESSEE...
OVERTON COUNTY IN TENNESSEE...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF LIVINGSTON...
PUTNAM COUNTY IN TENNESSEE...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF COOKEVILLE...

* UNTIL 1130 PM CDT

* AT 1036 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ADVANCING ACROSS THE AREA...EXTENDING ACROSS
EASTERN PARTS OF JACKSON COUNTY...SOUTHWARD INTO WESTERN PUTNAM COUNTY.
SOME OF THE STORMS IN THIS LINE HAVE HAD A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WIND
DAMAGE. MOVEMENT OF THE LINE WAS EAST AT 20 MPH.

* THE LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
COOKEVILLE AND LIVINGSTON BY 1115 PM CDT...

SEEK SHELTER NOW INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS!

The NWS office got a report of a tree down in Lafayette from this line that formed back this way and is now passing your area right now.
