SNOW CHANCES NEXT 24-36 HOURS?
This is how our entire Saturday has look across Cookeville. Dreary, cloudy conditions with no rain as of yet. Most of the heavy stuff has remained to our south. The latest, local radar shows just a few active cells. Don't expect Sunday's temperatures to warm much from the overnight low tonight. Chances of rain do increase to 60% for tonight and again on Sunday with rain changing to snow showers on Sunday night and Monday. Accumulations are 'iffy' at this point. Temperatures are expected to be cold on Monday with highs barely reaching into the 30's. *LATEST, LOCAL FORECAST
SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
The National Weather Service has, however, issued a Special Weather Statement. Indications are the higher elevations of the Cumberland Plateau (I'd say from Monterey north and east) could see amounts up to 1 inch. Here in Cookeville, a dusting might not be out of the question for us. Further west toward Nashville, mainly flurries.
SORRY FOR THE LATE POST TODAY
Late last evening, one of the dental implants that was put in my mouth last Thursday was really giving me some problems. I could feel it pulsating at the speed of my heart rate. My wife called our dentist and he said 'Come on in to my office now'...apparently, my body was rejecting one of them. He decided to remove it. Nothing I've ever had done (including two broken arms) can measure up to that pain. I don't know what labor pain feels like...but if it was anything like what I felt last night, I'm glad I am a man! Really appreciate our dentist for seeing me at 9 o'clock at night. I slept fairly well last night and have taken things very easy today. It has been a tough last seven days. Keep telling myself "short-term pain for long-term gain"....
