Hope You Like Rain (Part 2)

Do you have a favorite weather record?  Let me know by commenting at the end of this post!

Looks like the next few days will feature rain across Middle Tennessee. Showers move in late tonight with temperatures moving up to around 50° toward daybreak.

Friday:  Rain, High 64°
Friday Night: Rain, Low 55°

Saturday: Rain, High 67°
Saturday Night: T-Storms, Low 46°

Sunday: Rain, High 52°
Sunday Night: Partly Cloudy, Low 32°

The first of next week looks nice with sunny skies and highs in the 50's!

One of my Christmas presents from my wife is the book EXTREME WEATHER by Christopher C. Burt.  It is one of the best weather books I've ever read.  Here is just one small factoid from this incredible book.

Did you know the heaviest rainfall ever recorded in a 24-hour period in the United States happened on July 25th and 26th, 1979 when 43 inches (that's right 43 INCHES) of rain fell in Alvin, TX.

Let me know what your favorite weather record is!

Nice numbers Mr. Brantley. I did not realize that 2004 was your wettest year ever over there in West Tennessee. That amount is nearly 7" per month! WOW...
