NEW MODEL GUIDANCE IS CONTINUING TO SUGGEST A SIGNIFICANT OUTBREAK
OF SEVERE WEATHER IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE FOR THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING. A POWERFUL STORM SYSTEM WILL INTENSIFY AS IT PULLS
NORTHEAST FROM THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY DURING THE DAY
THURSDAY...BRINGING THE THREAT FOR DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL
AND ISOLATED TORNADOES.
INTERESTS ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE ARE ENCOURAGED TO MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS AS THIS EVENT DRAWS CLOSER.
IN ADDITION...BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL EXIST ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON
AND EVENING OUTSIDE OF THE THUNDERSTORM AREAS DUE TO A STRONG
SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENT. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WILL
PREVAIL...WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH.
