100% Chance of Snow Thursday

POSSIBLE WINTER STORM: Imagine my surprise when I opened up the updated forecast this evening. The NWS-Nashville has upped the chances for snow on Thursday to 100%. No mention, just yet, of accumulations. Typically, you don't see (or at least I haven't) high confidence like this in the 2+ day out range. We may see a watch of some sort issued on Tuesday. Will have to wait and see. For tonight, lows running just under the teens (call it 10 to 12°) with a slight chance for flurries. Tuesday's weather will be cloudy with some flurries around, highs in the low to mid 20's.

Tomorrow will begin to tell the story on Thursday's chances of accumulating snows. If my feet were held to the fire, I'd say up to 4" across the Plateau. Slightly less in the Cookeville area. One thing is for sure, if it snows, it accumulates. Just been too cold for that not to happen.
