Cookeville Hits 100°

....HOT, HOT, HOT Wednesday....

The high temperature in Cookeville reached 100 degrees this afternoon at 4:33 pm. Today's high was the hottest temperature since we hit 100 degrees on August 24, 2007. Officially, at our National Weather Service COOP station located next to the water/sewer treatment facility in south Cookeville, our high for this date is 99° set way back in 1930.

I expect we'll be close to the century mark once again on Thursday.
