It will be a good day to assess damage from yesterday's storms. We expect highs to reach around 88° this afternoon. Can't rule out some morning showers.
Short post this morning due to travel. Over the past two mornings, my rain gauge total is 8.31" INCREDIBLE. I've heard a 13" report just to the north of Cookeville. Hope to verify that later today. I'll be speaking with someone from the National Weather Service later today to verify whether our rainfall amount yesterday set an all-time single day record in Cookeville.
In the midnight to midnight 24-hour period period, we measured 6.72".
