...Record warm low temperatures at Crossville...

This summer's heat spell has produced some of the warmest low
temperatures ever observed at Crossville. Since record-keeping
began there in 1954, there have been three times when the daily
low temperature was 77 degrees. Two of those occurrences have been
this month, on August 4th, and again on August 11th. The only
other instance of a 77-degree low temperature happened on August
19, 1975.

In addition, of the five warmest low temperatures ever observed in
Crossville, four of them have occurred this summer. Low temperatures
of 76 degrees were observed on July 25 and August 3.
