A Big Snowstorm

We've seen more snow than was originally forecast. As of 10:30 pm, I'd measured 6" in my yard. Hearing of amounts even higher in Crossville and even right here in Cookeville. Current temp at 1:10 am is 16° with a wind-chill value of 7°.

As we move toward daybreak, expect more snow to fall. I'll have measurements around the 7 am (CDT) hour. Roads are treacherous and travel is not recommended.

We are watching yet another storm system moving our way for Wednesday. Before we get there, however, expect very cold weather. Highs Monday only in the lower 20's and lows Monday night around 6°. School kids can forget going on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday.

Can you notify TTU of this. I measure 6.5 an hour ago and the snow isn't letting up. They haven't sent out an notifications of closing. One of my teachers said that her final is canceled all together, but TTU has not taken responsibility for its students, which a majority probably live off campus like me.I don't own snow boots or and water proof boots to be able to walk to school..nor do I own anything that could withstand a 6-7 mile walk in the snow to get to an 8am final. Is there anyway that you could recommend that TTU closes? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
