Thunder Boomer Chances Next 3 Days

Rain chances increase today with the best chance for strong to severe thunderstorms confined to the northwest section of middle TN. That area includes Nashville's metro area. Scattered thunderstorms are expected today and tonight. Some could get strong and include large hail with damaging straight-line winds.

Here in Cookeville, thunderstorms possible although I don't think we reach the severe limit today or tonight. Expect the high to reach 80° again today. Scattered thunderstorms tonight, low 59° and thunderstorms likely again on Friday, high of 76°.

Rain and thunderstorm chances stick with us Saturday, although chances do decrease slightly. It will continue to be warm with a high around 80°.

Sunny skies on Sunday and Monday with highs in the 80's.
