Cloudy with Slight Storm Chances


Storms, for the most part, missed our area last evening as they moved south of the Cookeville area. We do have a slight thunderstorm chance in the forecast today as a front lurks back to our west. Expect gradual clearing in the later afternoon hours, especially to our west. Temps will be warm today with highs around 85° and a light northwest wind.

EXTENDED FORECAST:
Wednesday through the weekend calls for sunny skies through Friday with highs ranging from 82­° on Wednesday to 87° by Friday. Lows will moderate from the 50's to the mid 60's. Rain chances are slight on Friday and continue with slight chances through the weekend.

GULF COAST FLOODING:
Did you hear about the Gulf Coast heavy rains from this past weekend? In Pensacola, FL they saw their second wettest day ever in history with 13.13" of rain. According to weather.com there was a rain gauge that was 11 miles southwest of Pensacola that recorded 21.70" of rain between 8 am on Saturday and 8 am on Sunday. See pictures of flooding here.
