It is Election Day across Tennessee. Locally, we have a Property Assessor's race along with some school board seats up for election. Finally, the Congressional seat is up for my boss, first-term Congressman Diane Black. Please ask for a republican primary ballot and vote for Diane Black.

The weather should be HOT, HOT, HOT today with sunny skies and an isolated thunderstorm. Highs are expected to reach the middle 90's. Be careful if you're working out of doors as the heat index will be up into the dangerous category.

There are both a Special Weather Statement for heat and an Air Quality Alert in effect for the counties surrounding Nashville.

Rain chances really ramp-up for Friday, Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday across our area. Significant amounts of rain are expected to fall. Some rain could be heavy at times.
