Flooding Rains

September 17, 2012 will be very memorable day for all the wrong reasons in Cookeville, TN. About 5 pm, rain began falling heavily after a mainly wet day across the area. In a two-hour period, sections of the city recorded more than 3.75" causing major flooding across roads throughout the city.

At 8:30 pm, we've got 6.25" in the rain gauge since midnight.
