Merry Christmas

It's a cold start to Christmas morning across the entire area as we awake to temperatures in the teens. Our low in Cookeville this morning was 17.6° at 7:09 am. We're warming quickly, however, as we're up 10° at 8:30 am.

Your Christmas forecast for Cookeville and surrounding areas is for brilliant sunshine today and a high in the lower 40's (about 42°). We will slowly warm each day this week and I think our best day will be on Saturday with sunny skies and a high of 55°. The entire detail of our 7-day is available at the link below.

It appears we will fall off the cliff again on Sunday night and Monday of next week as highs will be limited to the lower 40's and lows in the 20's. I am even seeing some hints of a massive drop in temperatures after that. We'll wait and see what that holds for us.

As far as any snow, I don't see any great evidence of a snow event just yet. We will, of course, keep an eye on that.

I appreciate each of you and wish you the very best.
