Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are looking more likely in Middle Tennesee

Although a question on timing remains, severe weather is possible this afternoon in the form of ISOLATED severe thunderstorms but MORE likely this evening and overnight as a squall line develops first in Arkansas and moves into the western portions of Middle TN by early evening, the Nashville area during the mid to late evening hours and then into eastern Middle TN (Cookeville area) from midnight through daybreak on Sunday.

Damaging straight line winds will be the main threat with isolated tornadoes.

People in Middle Tennessee should stay abreast of the weather today and tonight and plan ahead should a warning be issued for your area.
