THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 6 PM CST THIS
AFTERNOON.

A COLD FRONT MOVE THROUGH THE MID STATE YESTERDAY BRINGING DRYER
AIR BEHIND THE FRONT INTO THE REGION. WINDS THIS MORNING WERE
SOUTHERLY 10 TO 15 MPH AND WILL INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON. WITH THE
AFTERNOON HEATING PRODUCING LOWER RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND WINDS
INCREASING UP TO 25 MPH...CRITICAL RED FLAG CONDITIONS FOR FINE
FUELS WILL EXIST OVER THE MID STATE..

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL
CREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL.

Hmm, you'd think all of that rain yesterday would make it extremely hard for anything to catch fire, regardless of humidity/wind. But I guess that's why they're the experts.
