Same Song, Same Story

We continue to be stuck in this dry pattern.

The big ol' Bermuda High is keeping our weather hazy, hot, and somewhat humid. The grass is definitely showing signs of a serious lack of rain. What you are seeing to the left is our yard. Near the trees, the grass is under alot of stress. We still have some green, healthy patches as you can see.

The forecast doesn't give us much hope for relief. While rain is being called for on Friday and Saturday, 20% odds just don't excite me!

I've included another photo from my neighbor's yard to the west. They are having serious issues with their grass surviving the shortfall in precipitation. If you click on the photo, you can get a better idea of how much the grass is struggling.

News 2 in Nashville has a great post entitled "A Hot and Dry Perspective". They have a map that shows which areas have the most shortfall for 2007.

We will continue to water our garden (in the morning, of course) and we will enjoy our beautiful flowers...such as this one below.
