Storms by Friday??

Chances are pretty good that we'll see something in the way of precipitation by Friday afternoon over most of our area.

If you click on the title of this post, it'll take you to the SPC (Storm Prediction Center located in Norman, OK) website. The SPC is part of the National Weather Service (NWS) run by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The NOAA homepage is full of great information. It is a MUST SEE!

With our dry run up to 21 days (except for that .02" that fell on June 1st), we are in danger of getting into the 'extreme' category on precipitation deficit. Since January 1st, we've recorded a paltry 13.05" here on the Cumberland Plateau. We are now running 9+ inches below normal.

You can check out our 7-day forecast here
