URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE

457 AM CDT TUE AUG 7 2007


...HOT STIFLING CONDITIONS SETTLE OVER THE MIDSTATE

....A LARGE MASS OF HOT AND HUMID AIR HAS SETTLED IN OVER THE MID STATE AND WILL MAKE OUTDOOR CONDITIONS UNPLEASANT AND...POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS...MAINLY IN THE WESTERN TWO THIRDS OF THE AREA. WE EXPECT THESE CONDITIONS TO LAST AT LEAST THROUGH THURSDAY AND POSSIBLY LONGER.


A heat index of 105 is possible today, it might hit 110 by Thursday. The advisory is in effect thru Thursday 7pm. We expect to hit 100 today at the Nashville Airport

I find it important to note that heat is, in fact, the number one weather related killer.

Actually, I thought the #1 killer was lightning. Let's all do some 'googling' and see what we find out!
