Big Rains

In the last 24 hours, we've measured 2.44" here in Cookeville, TN.

Yesterday afternoon, around 5 pm, we measured .67" during a nice thundershower. It was very nice and quiet during the firework show and then around 2 a.m., the skies opened up once again. This time we received 1.77" in the CoCoRaHS rain gauge. It will narrow our shortfall by quite a bit. Heading into July, we were 85% of normal for the year.

Looking at today's forecast, we could add to our totals with a 40% chance of thundershowers.

Our normal through this date is 29.81....
Just 2.59" short or 91.3% of normal

For July, we've measured 2.45" which is 1.82" ahead!
