Great Weekend in Tennessee

Clouds are trying to break-up this Saturday morning across the Highland Rim section of eastern Middle Tennessee as evidenced on the Cookeville WebCam (located high atop the Drama Center in downtown Cookeville).

Why did I title this "Great Weekend In Tennessee?"  Here are a list of reasons...

  1. Sunny days
  2. Cool nights
  3. College Football
  4. Fall Leaves looking great

National Forecast Map

Reading the national map, you can see we are going to see calm weather for a few days.  However, that front located in the upper northwest will march quickly through the central U.S. and affect our weather by Sunday evening.  While it will be mostly dry, it is bringing in COLD, CANADIAN air!

Are You Ready For Some Football?
Did I mention College Football?  All sorts of games going on.  Our Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles travel to Clarksville, TN today to play the Austin Peay Governors.  The UT Vols host #2 ranked Alabama this evening.  There are many other games going on, too.  Looks like the weather here in Tennessee will be very nice for the players, coaches, and fans.

Big-Time Rainfall in S.C.
Took a look at the CoCoRaHS rainfall amounts.  Lebanon, near Nashville, led the way in Tennessee with 1.80"....while nationally, locations in Charleston County, South Carolina measured anywhere from 5" up to 8" of rainfall in the last 24 hours.  A station just east of Mount Pleasant, SC recorded 8.32"..WOW!

'Honey-Do List'
I'm off to install a ceiling fan in our oldest daughter's room.  Will be able to check that one off the list.

I have to have a ceiling fan in my room. I hate being hot! Make sure you get that honey do list taken care of!
