*PUTNAM COUNTY SCHOOLS ARE 2 HOURS LATE*
Friday, December 5th, 2008

See links to the right on school closings.

We are starting this morning out around 20° here in Cookeville, TN.  Looking at the regional roundup, many reporting stations across Tennessee show temperatures in the teens.  Highs today (Friday) will be mainly below 40° for most of the state and around 35° for the Cookeville area.

*Latest, Local Forecast*

Want to laugh?  Look at the NOAA Winter Outlook.  While they are forecasting ABOVE normal temperatures, we've had well BELOW normal temperatures to start out our winter.

Speaking of the cold air, Tom Skilling at WGN discusses just how cold and how snowy Chicago has been to start this winter.

Jeff Ray, at Nashville WX, discusses a possible low pressure developing early next week that could result in some heavy and accumulating snow for us here in Middle TN.
