Rain Possible Today, Nice Weekend Coming Up

***RAIN CHANCES***
Look for a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms today with a high around 76° in Cookeville, warmer toward the Nashville area with highs around 80°. On Thursday, temperatures will warm a few more degrees with a few showers and storms again. Expect a very nice weekend with partly sunny skies on Friday and Saturday with a high around 81°.

1954-A very dry air mass produces some interesting temperature variances across Middle TN. In Crossville, the morning low is a cold, 44° while the daytime high hits 90° (only 2 degrees off the record). In Nashville, they have a range of 40° between the low of 55° and high of 95°.
