One Warm Day

After a threat of freezing rain overnight, temperatures have risen quickly here in the Cookeville area. (It is 51.0° at 8:15 am) All of the snow has disappeared due to the rain and warmer temps.

We saw freezing rain develop at 9:00 pm last evening and many locations around us (Monterey, Crossville, and Spencer) all had very dangerous conditions. Since midnight here in Cookeville, we rose from 37° all the way up to our current 51° reading. The rest of the day is expected to be cloudy with rain showers.

We do see a cold front swinging back through the Upper Cumberland and a chance of freezing rain returns for tonight. Low of 27°. Also, today will be the last warm day for a while as the 7-day forecast reveals highs only in the 40's.
