The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for most of middle Tennessee...which is in effect
from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Sunday.

* Timing: rain will change to snow around midnight with generally
less than 1 inch accumulation expected overnight. There will be
a break in the precipitation late Saturday night...but more snow
showers will return on Sunday along with frigid and blustery
conditions. Snow showers will diminish Sunday evening.+

* Accumulations: around 1 inch for much of middle Tennessee. 1 to
2 inches will occur for the Highland Rim...and as much as 3
inches for the north Cumberland Plateau.

* Impacts: slick Road conditions will develop late Saturday night
as temperatures plummet into the 20s. Snow showers through the
day on Sunday will cause additional accumulation and pockets of
hazardous travel across the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
