Snow Continues Through Wednesday

Expect snow to continue throughout today, tonight, and linger into Wednesday. Accumulations could reach another 3 additional inches locally. We are under a Winter Weather Advisory through 6 pm. Temperatures will hover around freezing today, drop off to the upper teens overnight, and then PLUNGE for Wednesday with a high of 25° and a low of 12°. Driving conditions will be poor today, treacherous tonight through Wednesday night. With a high of just 26° for Thursday, expect conditions to slowly improve. We won't be above freezing until Friday.

The map today is the snowfall totals as of 6 pm yesterday, 1/10/2011.

Your webcam shows relatively clear streets. How are the interstates around Cookeville? I have a college student that is anxious to get back to Tech from Nashville.

Main roads are wet & side streets are slushy to snow-covered.

Have a college student trying to get back to TTU. How are the interstates looking today? How are the roads in Cookeville?

Back roads and side streets are slick while main roads are getting much better.
