Windy, Warmer With Rain Chances

Chilly morning wake-up temperatures of 43.5° at 7:15 but they won't last. Much more about warmer weather below. Also, it's National Severe Weather Preparedness Week.

We'll move quickly out of the cold pattern that has been in place over the last 48 hours. Expect highs today in the Cookeville area of around 62°. You should see some sunshine this morning, however, clouds build and we will see a chance of rain this afternoon. Winds will be from the northwest from 5 to 15 mph and could gust to 20 mph.

Rain chances continue tonight with a low of 48°.

For Wednesday, a 30-40% chance of thunderstorms and a high of 75° and a low of 61°. Showers and thunderstorms remain with us the rest of the week with warm temperatures. Highs should be in the mid to upper 70's.
