Hotter With Scattered Thunderstorms

We'll be back up into the 90's across much of middle Tennessee today. Look for highs in the Cookeville area to top out around 94°. We do have the potential (about 30%) for scattered thunderstorms. Some of these storms this afternoon could contain heavy rains and gusty winds with localized flooding in the heaviest downpours.

We are already up into the upper 70's at 7 o'clock this morning. Expect temperatures to rise quickly.

The rest of the work week will continue to be in the 90's with heat index readings approaching 100° and we'll deal with possible afternoon thunderstorms each day. Be careful if working outdoors.
