Drizzle Chances and Chilly

We'll have a chance of some light drizzle this morning across the Cookeville area. Highs will only reach 51° with a steady north wind around 10 mph. We may see some sunshine by late this afternoon.

Highs only hit 48.6° on Saturday with brisk, windy conditions (max. gust 17 mph) and cloudy skies.

Overnight, expect very cold temperatures with a low of 33° by Monday morning. Depending on sky conditions, frost may develop. There is a short SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT in effect for the frost chances.

We'll remain under the effects of Hurricane Sandy as cold air will continue to be pumped down into middle Tennessee. Skies will be sunny with a high only in the upper 40's and a north northwest wind around 5 to 15 mph on Monday. Clear Monday night into Tuesday with lows around 30° and a major, killing frost on Tuesday morning. Highs on Tuesday will reach the lower 50's.

I do see a warming trend showing up for Friday and Saturday with highs reaching into the 60's.
