Major Winter Storm Wednesday

We are looking at the possibility of a major winter storm coming up for mid next week. A band of heavy snowfall will develop to the left side of the storm track. What this means is the closer the track is to Cookeville, the LESS chance we'd have for a big snow event. The further east the track slides means our chances for a BIG snow event increases.

I do think as the system pulls away from our area we'll see some light accumulations. Some of the computer forecasting models show the track being further south and east. This is good for those of us who like snow. We will have to continue to observe upcoming forecasting model runs to see if the snowstorm solution stays or disappears.
