Cool Saturday Night/Sunday Morning

Look for cooler temperatures in the overnight hours tonight through Sunday morning. By sunrise, we'll be in the lower 60's.

SATURDAY'S ALMANAC:
We measured .33" of rainfall during the afternoon hours on Saturday. For the month of June, we stand at 1.46". The high temperature was just 80.2° and this occurred at 6:05 pm on Saturday after the sun had broken through.

SUNDAY FORECAST:
Father's Day (Sunday) forecast is for the highs to be around 85° and we'll keep a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. Chances will be minimal at just 20%.

US OPEN FORECAST:
Wondering what the forecast will be for the final round of the US Open from the Olympic Club near San Francisco, CA on Sunday?? Well, wonder no more as I have it below.

Sunday: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 60. West southwest wind 10 to 13 mph increasing to between 18 and 21 mph. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. (Note...this is not for Cookeville...it is for the final round of the US Open)

Sunshine and Mid 80's For Wednesday

An excellent day ahead for the Upper Cumberland region of Middle Tennessee. We call this 'Chamber of Commerce' weather! At just before 6 am, the temperature is a comfortable 56°. We expect the high to hit between 85° and 86° later this afternoon. Winds will become northeasterly from 5-10 mph making the day feel quite comfortable.

Tuesday's high was a very nice 81° and clouds finally began to break-up in the late afternoon hours just as anticipated.

Thursday will be much like today except you could add another couple of degrees as we'll see the mercury push toward 90°. On Friday, a slight chance of a thundershower with a high of 90°, ditto that forecast for both Saturday and Sunday. Only scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms in the weekend forecast.

Don't forget Father's Day on Sunday!
