Cooler, But Dry (Storm Photos)
After a busy night with strong storms across the area, today will be much different as we expect temperatures to gradually go down all day. We should some sunshine this afternoon. Our high has already been reached and we'll continue to fall through the 40's today. Tonight will be partly cloudy and chilly, low 30°
Nice day on Saturday with sunny skies and a high of 59°. Rain returns on Saturday night lasting through Monday. We could see a repeat of strong storms Sunday night and Monday.

Hot Weather Expected Back
SLIGHT REPRIEVE GIVES WAY TO HEAT:
Just when we thought there could be a 'break' in the hot weather, it's return is imminent for the weekend. Much nicer today, even though highs will reach the upper 80's, as winds will be out of the north northwest. This should knock down the heat index readings. The weekend, however, is looking more and more sultry as winds will turn around to the south and a return to the hot, summer-like weather is likely. Rain chances will really ramp up by Monday.
YESTERDAY'S GUST FRONT:
Fantastic picture snapped by local weather watcher and good friend, Kent Bilbrey. This shot was taken near the Main Street & Dry Valley Road intersection across from Trinity Assembly in beautiful downtown Algood, TN. This storm produced around a quarter-inch for most. A little less for some and more for others.

Awesome Snow Picture (East TN)
Awesome snow picture below from Sheri Rudy of Jonesborough, Tennessee. She received eight inches of snow at her home. Sheri is our Interior Designer for A-Z Office Resource in the Tri-Cities region of Tennessee. Sheri tells me that 'Jonesborough is the storytelling capital of the world and the oldest town in Tennessee.' Much more information about this historic town is available here.
Thank you Sheri for the great picture and I hope we see this snow in Middle TN soon!

Wild Weather in Alabama
Storms continue to rip our friends to our south in Alabama this evening.
An apparent tornado has struck the Oxford/Anniston area which is east of Birmingham. ABC 33/40 and AlabamaWX.com are all over it.
Flooding continues to be a huge problem. Tons of flooding pictures here!
A view who lives in Walker County, AL reports receiving 12.16" of rain since Monday at sunset.

Snow Pictures From Cookeville, TN!
Here is a shot of snow on the Tahoe...it's blowing around quite nicely..can see it on the roads and in the yard. I'm sure there will be a few places where the roads may become slippery.
